The Virginia Inland Port, located in Front Royal, Virginia, has been recognized as the most successful inland port in America. With the proximity of the VIP to Royal-Phoenix’s location, it serves as a key component of the supply chain model. It provides intermodal service to markets in Northern Virginia, West Virginia, District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and even further north to Delaware, New Jersey, and New York.
The Royal Phoenix site location has been declared a Targeted Employment Area, which means that the area has an unemployment rate of at least 150% of the U.S. national average for employment. By having Royal-Phoenix Trading, LLC's principal place of business in this area, we can help the community by providing job opportunities.
The development of the Royal Phoenix site has the support of the Federal and State governments.
On September 20, 2014, the Environmental Protection Agency ("EPA") officially declared the site to be all clean and cleared Royal Phoenix for future development. This ceremony was presided over by Congressman Bob Goodlatte, Virginia 6th District, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee; and the Assistant Administrator of the EPA at the time, Mathy Stanislaus.
